IBM Security Discover and Classify: A New Era in the IBM Security and 1touch.io Partnership

Today, we are excited to announce a groundbreaking partnership between IBM Security and 1touch.io — IBM Security will OEM 1touch.io Inventa under the IBM Security Discover and Classify brand. The mission of this partnership has always been about supporting zero trust and data privacy. Now, with more advanced data discovery and classification techniques for both data-at-rest and data-in-motion, AND structured and unstructured data, we can continue to complement and enhance the modern data security capabilities of the IBM Security product suite.

This is just the latest recognition for 1touch.io Inventa.

In April 2021, 1touch.io Inventa was positioned in the Major Players category in the very first IDC MarketScape for worldwide data privacy management software. “Data visibility continues to be a blind spot for many organizations,” said Ryan O’Leary, research manager, Privacy and Legal Technology at IDC. “There is strong and growing market demand for automated data discovery and classification tools that scan for sensitive data across both cloud and on-premises environments and to provide organizations with a single source of data truth, and 1touch.io is well-positioned to satisfy that demand.”

Soon thereafter in May 2021, IBM Security signed an agreement with 1touch.io to be a reseller of Inventa.

In a nutshell, with the addition of IBM Security Discover and Classify, IBM Security products continue to offer an extensive suite of tools that allow an organization to take immediate action against threats across data sources. This is key when it comes to addressing regulatory requirements or understanding the impact of and responding to a costly breach.

IBM Security Discover and Classify capitalizes on the powerful capabilities that make 1touch.io stand out from other data discovery peers. It will be directly available through IBM Security, and integrated with IBM Security SOAR, a critical component of IBM Cloud Pak for Security.
